About the Fund "Buy my Trouble"
Charity and support fund "Bėdų turgus" was established in December 20, 2001, as a tool for transferring charity from companies to individuals. At the beginning of our TV show "Bėdų turgus" we realized the company supporting a person must also pay taxes, whereas when charity is expressed in goods or services, there is no legal method of their transferring. Therefore the fund "Bėdų turgus" was established for transferring of the collected money, not for collecting them.
During eight years of our activity, the amount of 4595042 Lt was donated for the needy. The fund is administered by single person. Premises, computers, equipment, postal costs, transport fees are free of charge, as they are covered by companies JSC "Makas", Public enterprise "Kiškių garbė". The president, chairman and board of the fund work free of charge.
During the period of 2002-2008, the fund consisted of the following board members: G. Vyšniauskas - chairman, Saulius Arvasevičius, Monika Čeikauskaitė, Algimantas Čekuolis, Edita Tamulienė, Ona Karūnienė, Rasa Urbelytė, Audrius Siaurusevičius, Raimonda Varaškaitė, Dovilė Kirkilionytė.
During its existence, the fund "Bėdų turgaus" supported over 800 of the needy, orphans, large and poor families, people with various illnesses, the ones who suffered fire, the disabled, talented pupils and artists, families with children who have diabetes.
In 2007, a new program- internet site www.diabites.lt - was launched in our fund. The goal of this program is to collect money for children who suffer from diabetes for acquisition of insulin pumps. Within one year, the amount of 4595042 Lt was collected, 75 children were sponsored. Insulin pumps are purchased from all suppliers for the same price - 6000 Lt.
During our activity, the amount of 4595042 Lt was donated (this amount includes the value of services and goods in Lt). Our fund has constant friends and sponsors, listed in our board of honor, whereas we would like to mention some of them here as well. Mr. Antanas Guoga donated 1 million Lt, Mrs. Violeta Gureckienė donated 100000 Lt, JSC "Kosmada" donated 107000 Lt, subscribers of newspaper "Lietuvos rytas" donated 93948 Lt. by subscribing the newspaper; Mr. Virginijus Adutavičius has exceeded 50000 Lt.
Some children are constantly fostered by our fund. Foster scholarship was established for Aurimas Lelkaitis, until he graduated from school. Aistė Raugalytė was sponsored by our fund until she graduated from gymnasium, whereas at present she studies in Mykolas Romeris University and receives yearly scholarship from one of our sponsors.
Our fund operates constantly and intensively. Our motto is "From hand to hand, no cent is spared here".
We wish to thank all our sponsors - companies and private persons, who donate 2 percent of income tax and sponsored our fund in some other methods. Thank you all, and thank each of you!
